Do Now 2: 11-30 #6-1

A fade-in begins with a black screen that gradually lightens up to show a picture. A fide-out is the exact opposite with a picture in full color, fading to complete black. A dissolve is when one scene is gradually replaced with another scene. The difference between the two is that a fide-in and a fide-out typically occur in the begininng and end of a video. A dissolve typically happens in the middle of a video.
